Jane Campion's Bright Star, plus more rambling.

Hello Dylan.
No, I am not continuing with my story, although it is fantastic.
No, I am here to review a film.
That's right, a film. For that was actually the reason I created a blog. To trash movies.
But, alas, this one was actually good.
As you may have already guessed, it's called Bright Star, and was directed by none other than the fantastic Jane Campion. A coproduction between Australia and the United Kingdom film councils, it tells the love story between a young poet (Ben Whishaw) and a dressmaker (a fabulous Abbie Cornish).
The oscar-nominated costumes, sets and cinematography are marvellous, as is the acting and screenplay. The direction is impeccable and whatsmore, its available to rent right now!
****1/2
Four and a half stars out of five.

Now for the 'more rambling', as promised beforehand.
I am annoyed at acmi, aka the australian centre for the moving image, because all the stuff I want to attend is either 15+ or 18+. I, being 14, would not be able to go to these films/discussions.
Another thing that is getting my goat is ads.
Especially that 'Lifebuoy' soap ad, which has horrible voice dubbing, and that overly-long nike ad.
Thats it for me,
Over and out.
